On the heels of a racist remark directed towards Barcelona’s Brazilian defender Dani Alves where a banana was thrown at him during a corner kick, social media has been quick to back him up.
Alves picked up the propelled banana (a gesture which tried to distinguish Alves as a monkey) and took a bite out of it, showing that he wasn’t fazed by the racial act.
Now, famous soccer players have posted pictures of themselves eating bananas on Twitter and Instagram with the hash tag #weareallmonkeys.

Last laugh goes to these guys. They get to eat potassium enriched bananas, while the racist fan who threw his got banned for life from the stadium.
